The warp and weft difference of the fabric

(1) if the fabric is identified with a cloth edge, the yarn direction parallel to the cloth edge is warp, and the other side is weft.

(2) sizing is the direction of the warp, not sizing is the direction of the weft.

(3) In general, the one with high density is the warp direction, and the one with low density is the weft direction.

(4) For cloth with obvious sley marks, the sley direction is warp.

(5) Half thread fabric, usually the warp direction of the strand, single yarn direction is weft.

(6) If the yarn twisting of single yarn fabric is different, the Z twist direction is warp direction, and the S twist direction is weft direction.

(7) If the warp and weft yarn characteristics, twist direction and twist of the fabric are not very different, then the yarn is uniform and luster is good warp direction.

(8) if the yarn twist of the fabric is different, most of the large twist is warp direction, and the small twist is weft direction.

(9) For towel fabrics, the yarn direction of the lint ring is warp direction, and the yarn direction without lint ring is weft direction.

(10) Sliver fabric, the sliver direction is usually in the direction of the warp.

(11) If the fabric has a system of yarns with many different characteristics, this direction is warp.

(12) For yarns, the direction of twisted yarns is warp, and the direction of non-twisted yarns is weft.

(13) Among the interweaves of different raw materials, generally cotton and wool or cotton and linen interwoven fabrics, cotton for warp yarn;  In wool and silk interweave, silk is warp yarn;  Woolen silk and cotton interweave, silk and cotton for warp;  In the natural silk and spun silk interwoven material, the natural thread is the warp yarn;  Natural silk and rayon interweave, natural silk for warp.  Because the fabric uses are very wide, varieties are also many, the fabric raw materials and organizational structure requirements are diverse, so in the judgment, but also according to the specific situation of the fabric to decide.
